REPORTS have reached WWN of upset parents being separated from their children amid scenes of disorganised chaos with no signs of clear leadership or forward planning at the gates of primary schools around Ireland, as well as comparatively calm reports of the situation in the Taliban-held Afghan capital of Kabul.

“Whatever plan was in place before this kicked off, it was either simply not very well thought out or has failed miserably” said one correspondent, reporting live from the Middle Eastern town of Trim.

“Catastrophic errors have failed these people, when they needed guidance from their leaders the most. Years of preparation, washed away in mere days” said another correspondent, again talking about the Primary School situation.

“Yeah not bad, bit pushy and shovey here and there but a far cry from the chaotic scenes outside the gates of St. Assumpta Of The Fractured Tibia NS in Gorey” mused our man at Kabul airport, as the western pull-out from the region came to an end.

“There is chaos. People are blindly handing their children over the railings, hoping for the best” chimed in another report, back in Ireland again.

Meanwhile, the Taliban have been commended for their adherence to one-way traffic systems and parking regulations in the Kabul area, which has kept the flow of vehicles moving freely and without incident for the last week.

“We would never double-park on a one-way street, or reverse up onto a kerb while children walked past. We’re not animals” said one member of the Taliban who we spoke to, driving an ex-American army humvee through town.

“Oh and I must apologise for the size of the vehicle I’m driving, but at least it’s terrain-appropriate. Can you imagine driving a vehicle this big just to do something simple like drop a child to school less than half a mile up the road? Some people are just pure evil, aren’t they?”.
