MOTORISTS attempting to ultilise voice guided GPS systems in their cars have called for immediate help after the roll a new ‘Irish directions’ setting was released, WWN understands.

Ringing from locations in laybys of roads that they absolutely didn’t want to be in, miles from their desired destination, motorists have criticised Google and Apple Maps, Garmin, TomTom and other GPS offerings.

“Swing a left, no not this left, the next one a ways up the road, beyond the dip in the road. Ha, no; you call that a dip? No, this big fella here,” confirmed one thick Irish accented GPS voice, resembling nothing close to the cold, detached robotic preciseness of GPS systems drivers have become accustomed to in recent years.

“The last thing I remember the GPS saying was ‘ah you’ll know it when you see it’,” confirmed one frustrated driver who typed in directions from Dublin to Galway but has now somehow found himself on the helicopter landing pad of the Burj Khalifa.

GPS app developers have apologised for the hard-to-understand directions, and have confirmed they are working on solving the issue.

“Yeah, I’ll be there in one minute,” shared a developer driving aimlessly around an industrial estate after listening to his GPS say ‘now this coming here, that all used to be a field, you can turn right after where the old school used to be, they knocked that about 20 years ago mind’.
