“Sorry, I Butt-Dialled The Emergency Shutdown Code” Microsoft CEO
MICROSOFT CEO Satya Nadella has apologised profusely today after apparently butt-dialling the company’s emergency shutdown code this morning sparking mayhem across the planet’s IT network, WWN has learned.
Airports and airlines around the world experienced technical issues when Nadella accidentally sat on his phone and somehow dialled the emergency password ‘0000’ while sitting down.
“I went down a TikTok hole when I woke up and forgot to lock the phone and then must have typed in the code with me arse when I sat down for breakfast,” the embarrassed CEO explained. “I must remind myself to change the code to something more complicated later”.
Media companies, banks, GP services, apps and telecom firms also reported that system outages were disrupting their operations with even some Microsoft word users reporting the dreaded return of the talking paperclip.
“Fucked the PC out the window when I saw it,” one office worker told WWN after seeing his Microsoft suite default back to a 1998 version.
Meanwhile, international airports have reported that planes are unable to land due to the issue, leaving many suspended in what is being hailed as the world’s first air traffic jam.
“If I had a horn on this thing I’d beep it,” stated one irate pilot.
