Rockstar Games Confirms GTA VI Has Playable D4 J1 Student Who Does Your Fucking Head In
EXPECTANT video games fans from Ireland had barely begun celebrating the news that GTA VI finally had a release date when troubling news ruined any hint of joy, WWN can share.
A playable character in the form of a D4 J1 student so entitled and irritating you would choose death by shark attack over spending another second with them had erased any excitement Irish GTA players had about pre-ordering the game and counting down the days until the 19th of November.
“I go to GTA for an escape from horrific acts that bring on violent urges, so to hear that there’s a D4 J1-er in this, ah I might leave it so,” confirmed one devastated GTA fan.
Rockstar let fans in on what to expect from the character.
“Paying prostitutes to sing his school’s rugby chants with him, explaining his post-college life plans at length to strangers for hours and refusing to set foot in the north side of Vice City, Leo O’Mahony-Shaw is a character it took years to get annoyingly accurate,” explained one character designer on the franchise.
The playable missions for Loms (as the character insists on being called) consist mainly of phone calls to his mother explaining that his allowance for the summer in Vice City is ‘lower than a Trinity bird’s knickers the second you tell her your dad supplies weapons to child soldiers in Africa’.
“My favourite mission with Loms is the one where he has to convince a nightclub promoter to let him DJ, but he’s thrown out by bouncers after he’s found coke in the toilets and worse; repeating the same anecdote about the hilarious time him and the boys managed to block a sleeping friend’s arsehole with cement,” added the designer, outlining Rockstar’s famed attention to detail.
O’Mahony-Shaw is set to rank below OG Loc and Lance Vance in a list of beloved GTA characters.
UPDATE: Rockstar are set to offer Irish players a unique enhanced price for GTA VI of €959 to remove Loms from the game. Early access pre-sale to this version sold out in under a minute.
