Poll: Should Journalists Even Be Allowed Ask Politicians Questions?

AFTER a number of troubling instances including Mary Lou McDonald being asked questions in an RTÉ radio interview about a new immigration policy her party voluntarily published, and a press officer being harangued by an Irish Independent journalist during Catherine Martin’s press conference in which she unveiled €725mn funding package as punishment for RTÉ mismanagement has led to widespread criticism of journalists.

Many commentators have gone as far as to suggest journalists shouldn’t be allowed ask questions of politicians, do you agree?
