McIlory Getting Married This Month, Maybe

GOLFING superstar Rory McIlroy has announced that he is to wed his fiance Erica Stoll at a lavish ceremony later this month, although concerns have been raised after the Co. Down native followed this announcement by making the ‘shush’ gesture with his finger to his lips and winking theatrically.

Although he is widely regarded as one of the world’s best golfers with a consistent track record of performing to the highest standard when playing some of the world’s most challenging courses, the 27-year-old has a less than stellar history when it comes to marrying people that he has said he will marry.

With at least two women already raising their eyebrows and saying ‘we’ll believe it when it happens’ at the news of McIlroy’s upcoming nuptials, the golfer has come out and stated that although things may not have worked out with his first love Holly Sweeney or his second fiancé Caroline Wozniacki, this time he was definitely getting married for sure.

“Oh aye, there’’l be a cake and everything,” said McIlroy, going red in the face trying to stop himself from giggling.

“Absolutely, no doubt about it this time. Myself and herself, married. ‘I do’, the works. Tea and sandwiches back at the house and then on to the hotel for a feed. Cocktail sausages at half eleven. Yeah, it’s going to be a great wedding and it’s happening in a few weeks. Honest”.

Meanwhile, gambling websites have given McIlroy better odds on jilting his fiancé at the altar than they’re giving for him to win a major tournament in the next two years.
