Clooney To Spend Weekend In Ikea With The Missus

NEWLYWED actor George Clooney is to spend this weekend getting bits and pieces for the house in Ikea with his wife, renowned barrister and political activist Amal Almuddin.

Clooney and Almuddin were married in a lavish ceremony in Venice last week, which was attended by the cream of the Hollywood A-list. Following a 5 day honeymoon in Lanzarote the pair is re-adjusting to normal life, with the new Mrs. Clooney eager to get as many jobs done around the house this weekend as possible.

“They had a great time in Puerto Del Carmen, but it’s time to get back to normality” said Sheena Golditz, personal assistant and spokesperson for Hollywood icon Clooney.

“Amal is very eager to get the spare room sorted out, as it’s never really been anything other than a dumping ground for odds and sods. She’s checking out the wardrobes and storage solutions on the Ikea website, so herself and Geo is going to fly out early on Saturday to beat the crowds”.

The early-morning raid on their local branch comes following the couples disastrous last trip to Ikea, when they arrived during the midday rush and spent three hours attempting to buy some lampshades and a thing for sorting out shoes. Celebrity experts are expecting the couple to be in and out in less than two hours, kicking off with a quick 9-item breakfast in the Ikea restaurant.

In the interest of keeping the missus happy, Clooney has agreed to assemble the flat-packed furniture before Monday morning, providing that he and his best mate Brad Pitt can tip down to the pub for an hour on Sunday night.
