Touching! Dad Replies To Daughter’s Lengthy Heartfelt Message With Thumbs Up Emoji

NOT one to hold back on his emotions, Waterford dad Tim Mackey was today praised for his heartfelt response to a beautifully worded text message from his daughter in Australia last night, WWN has learned.

Having not seen or interacted with his eldest child in over a month, Mackey brought 27-year-old Tabatha to tears with just one simple but highly effective emoji.

“When I saw dad’s thumbs up response to my 1,000-word message I knew this was a father/daughter moment to cherish for the ages,” said the teary-eyed daughter of two.

Framing the interaction before hanging it on her wall as a reminder of just how strong a bound she has with her father, Tabatha revealed the unconditional love between the two despite being on opposite sides of the world is the only thing keeping her going.

“I don’t know where I’d be without his support,” she went on, now staring forelongly at the single thumbs-up emoji her thoughtful middle-aged dad spent milliseconds sending. “It’s so simple, but yet means so much to me. I love you too, dad”.

Unaware of the feels he caused, Mackey insisted it was no effort at all and that he basically uses a thumbs up emoji quite regularly and really didn’t think much of it at the time.

“I liked it,” he confirmed, before giving this reporter a thumbs up.
