THE close personal friend of Dublin girl Lisa Connaughton has braced herself for the imminent barrage of thinly veiled insults and passive aggressive remarks that are about to flow from Connaughton’s mouth after she started a sentence with the words “now don’t take this the wrong way, but…”

23-year-old Saoirse Molloy has been friends with Connaughton since primary school, and has endured waves of scathing criticism over the years, delivered under the proviso that she ‘wasn’t allowed get angry’ because Lisa was only telling her ‘for her own good’.

Advice from Connaughton through the years has ranged from “now don’t take this the wrong way, but whoever did your fake tan must have been blind” to “now don’t take this the wrong way, but have you thought about getting something done with your eyebrows”, leaving Molloy in great fear as to what she’s about to be told right now.

“Lisa just doesn’t seem to know that you can’t just say whatever the fuck you want if you just tell people to not ‘take it the wrong way'” said Molloy, who might very well tell her longtime friend to get fucked any day soon.

“‘Don’t take this the wrong way, but your boyfriend could do better for himself’… who the fuck talks like that? Lisa is pretty and slim and has a good job, so she has kinda forgotten how to have a normal conversation with her friends over the years. But if she says one more wrong word to me, I’ll give her a feed of her fucking teeth”.

UPDATE: Connaughton has acted shocked and offended after her friend became upset, stating that she ‘had no idea’ Molloy was ‘so sensitive”.
