HOUSES currently operating under active boil water notices in Ireland have been issued with an additional ‘get used to it’ notice by Irish Water, WWN can reveal.

With fresh boil water notices in operation in Wicklow and its surrounding areas after a water treatment mechanism malfunctioned, Irish Water have urged the entire country to observe the ‘get used to it’ notice, allowing them to just accept that this is the way it is and it is likely to remain so for the foreseeable future.

“The ‘get used to it’ notice issued late last night is just our way of telling you this is the way it is and tough luck,” explained one Irish Water kettle flicking on engineer, “it’s hard to overhaul a decrepid and broken water system when you lot aren’t willing to pay for it,” added the engineer, getting a bit too personal it has to be said.

“If you have water coming out of your taps and it’s a dodgy colour or whatever, we’d urge everyone to get used to it, that would be our professional expert advice at least,” added the engineer.

However, despite clear instructions, many residents have expressed their annoyance at the latest news.

“So what, we’re just supposed to just accept our supply could change from being fine to dangerous on any given day?” shared one concerned citizen who seemed to momentarily forget they lived in Ireland.

Elsewhere, residents affected long term by contaminated water concerned by a clear liquid now emanating from their taps have been told not to worry as that is what clean water actually looks like.
