CONFIRMED! Avengers Age Of Ultron To Feature Footage Not Shown In Trailers

REPORTS emerging from early screenings of Age Of Ultron, the much-anticipated sequel to The Avengers, have confirmed what many fans have believed for some time: the movie features at least two scenes which have not been shown in promotional clips and trailers.

The Avengers, a long-awaited cinematic team-up of Marvel’s most popular characters, broke box office records when it was released in 2012, going on to gross over $1.5 billion worldwide.

Marvel quickly set to work on a sequel, bringing back the entire cast as well as director Joss Whedon. The studio’s marketing campaign began in force in 2014, when the first trailer was released online.

Since then, 174 trailers, extended trailers, sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes footage, concept art, video blogs and clips have made their way online, as well as playing on TV during every commercial break, before every movie shown in the last six months, and on digital video pods in shopping centres and on the side of posh bus stops.

Fans were sure they had seen every action sequence, superhero pose, funny quip and angst-filled moment from the upcoming movie, but early reports have let slip that there may be as much as ten minutes of footage that has not been shown in trailers.

“The Hulk vs Iron Man sequence that you’ve seen in the trailers? Get ready for nine more seconds of that,” said movie reviewer Jeff Kendrick, who attended a special screening of A2: AOU last night.

“And we also get at least an extra minute of the Avengers talking to each other; there’s maybe five, even six lines that you haven’t seen in the trailers. As well as that you get the end credits, which as far as I know haven’t shown up in any promotional material; that’s 7 straight minutes of cast and crew names that will blow fans away”.

Avengers: Age Of Ultron hits cinemas on Thursday, and is expected to be the best of the 17 superhero movies released this month.
