“We’ll Have A Better Chance Here” Palestinian Children Refuse Offer Of Irish Medical Care
DESPITE their injuries and predicament of living in the worn torn state of Gaza, Palestinian children hearing the news that Ireland is to offer its health services for medical care have said ‘no thanks’, WWN reports.
The initiative follows months of work across Government departments, sparking fears the children will be treated the same as Irish children, some of whom are waiting years for basic surgeries and even being taken off waiting lists.
“It’s a lovely gesture, but we’ll take our chances here,” said one 7-year-old scoliosis patient living in Gaza, as bombs rained down on a civilian apartment block beside what’s left of his family home.
This plan, implemented by the notorious HSE, is aiming to evacuate around 30 children from Gaza before the end of the year, with children in the region already picking straws to see who will sacrifice themselves to Ireland’s third world health system.
“I had a good run in fairness,” one 12-year-old stated, realising she is to join an Irish waiting list of over 10,000 children, a large majority of whom have been waiting over a year for basic primary care services.
“Oh, praise Allah,” another 14-year-old exclaimed after finding out they won’t be taking part in the initiative as Ireland’s child psychological services are basically non-existent.
Meanwhile, Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly later clarified that the scheme will not include orthopaedic patients, due to the absolute balls his department is making in this area.
“We’re basically looking for kids with illnesses we can treat and make ongoing revenue from like asthma, diabetes, regular money makers like that; just 30 of them for a glitzy presser ahead of the next elections,” he confirmed.
