Actor In Smithwicks Advert Passes Away Aged 59
SMITHWICKS acting legend Toto Schillaci has passed away, prompting tributes from around Ireland and beyond after his untimely death at just 59.
Most famous for his unforgettable performance, alongside Ray Houghton and David O’Leary in an iconic Smithwicks advert.
“I remember I was a handy at the old acting when I was younger myself, you know just reciting Shakespeare in the playground and that and so the kids nicknamed me ‘Toto’, me Dad’s mates would say ‘you’ve got a real Schillaci on your hands there’,” shared one local man fondly.
“The role for an Irish booze commercial really should have gone to have Irish actor but audiences embraced him despite being Italian,” remember one Irish person, of the man who also starred in World Cup Top Goalscorer and playing the iconic villain in ‘Packie Catch The Ball For Christ Sake’.
Meanwhile, in unrelated news Thierry Henry now occupies the top stop in the list of Ireland’s footballing villains.
Elsewhere, claiming it is merely a formality Italian police are looking to interview every member of Ireland’s Italia ’90 squad.
