Life So Bad In America This Man Has To Work Until He’s 86

A COUNTRY riven by startling inequality which only seems to worsen by the day, American was greeted today with news reports detailing the distressing plight of an 80-year-old Pennsylvania man who feels he has no choice but to work until he’s 86.

“He sees no other option, with the economy the way it is and the lack of a social security net,” said one neighbour of Joseph Biden, who despite is aging body and mind believes he can’t afford to retire.

While many of his peers are enjoying their old age in retirement homes, such a luxury is not available to Mr Biden who faces the added indignity of having to reapply for his job soon.

“I’ve got no choice but to try and keep the job I have. Let’s face it in this economy who’s going to hire me if I’m let go?” a worried Mr Biden said.

News of the octogenarian’s circumstances struck a chord with many Americans.

“Ain’t that the truth, feels like only the rich few get to live with a modicum of comfort while us schlubs gotta work ’til the day we drop,” shared local man Jeremy Steiner.

Mr Biden grew visibly worried at the mention of the fast paced and changing nature of the modern workplace of which he, like so many aging Americans is a victim of.

“It’s not so much AI, or this new-fangled typewriter I’ve heard so much about. No, it’s the fact I hear people whispering behind my back about replacing me with a young whippersnapper, a 76-year-old from New York,” the 80-year-old said.
