“See, Not Much Fun Having Fuck All Transport, Is It?” Rural Ireland Tells Green Line Luas Users

“OH YOU THOUGHT we were being moany for the sake of it? Enjoy your 50 minute walk in the rain, not so smug now,” confirmed rural Ireland as it watched Dubliners who normally make use of the green line Luas to commute deal with being plunged back into the 18th century.

As a result of a power outage, the Luas line which runs from Broombridge to Brides Glen remains out of service, with Dublin commuters complaining they were being treated like a sparsely populated rural backwater full of drooling simpletons.

“I’ve only a steady supply of taxis, nearby Dart station and between 5 and 10 bus routes to avail of,” a disconsolate Dubliner told WWN.

“I’ve gained a whole new perspective though on how lucky we are, this must be what my ancestors from Clare had to deal with, horse and cart every day” added the commuter, of his aunt and uncle currently living in Ennis.

“I don’t understand,” remarked another commuter as a Luas worker patiently tried to explain the concept of walking to them until such a time as the power outage is solved.

Elsewhere, some rural dwellers were content in the knowledge that while there is a huge disparity in public transport, thanks to the government securing an extension from the EU on the use of more harmful and toxic nitrates in farming there will be no urban/rural divide when it comes to how polluted all our waterways are.
