Israeli Settlers Bulldoze Eurovision Village

CONTROVERSY over Israel’s continued participation in the Eurovision Song Contest has reached a new level after Israeli settlers bulldozed much of the Eurovision village to make way for a new development.

“Sorry, force of habit. You can quote international law all you like, the Zionist right to live in our homeland will not be denied,” said one armed settler, as he struck a glitter-festooned back-up dancer to one of this year’s entries in the head with the butt of a rifle.

The decision by the delegates from the Israeli Eurovision entry to begin building a settlement on their ancestral homeland of the temporary Eurovision village in Basel, Switzerland late last night comes after weeks of pressure being put on the organisers of the event to expel the Israeli entry due to the ongoing war crimes being committed in Gaza.

“Former Eurovision contestants signing an open letter calling on Israel’s expulsion shows the clear need to root out Hamas from the ESC once and for all. And while I haven’t directed the settlers actions, I don’t condemn it,” confirmed Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Israeli PM said he couldn’t comment on last night’s semi-final as he was too busy staring soulessly at a live feed of aid being kept out of Gaza.

Meanwhile, the ESC said it’s lack of action has nothing to do with Israeli company Moroccanoil being the headline sponsor of the contest.
