Ryanair Hoping €15k From Suing Disruptive Passenger Covers €108mn In Fines Owed For Violating Customers’ Rights
SOURCES familiar with Ryanair’s case against a disruptive passenger suggest the €15,000 they are seeking in damages will go towards putting a serious dent in the €108mn in fines they owe for violating their own customers’ rights.
“I think we can all agree that when someone reneges on agreed rules, procedures and behaviours, they have to answer for it, that’s all we ask,” explained a rep for Ryanair, a company with outstanding fines of €108mn.
Imposing a zero tolerance policy on all unruly behaviour except for when their own crew try to claim a passenger’s bag doesn’t is 0.0001mm too big, Ryanair have hit upon a way to cover the full cost of the large scale fine.
“We’re actually going to quadruple the number of daily flights to Lanzarote, the more boozed up passengers, the more disruptions which means more handy days in court suing passengers who shat themselves in their seat while necking an endless supply of €6.25 cans of Heineken,” added the company rep.
The landmark court case experienced a slight delay as a barrister representing the airline parked an hour’s walk from the circuit court.
