A PAIR of Waterford parents are putting nearly 100% of their time and resources into ensuring their children never learn of the existence of the popular line of wallet emptying dolls known as Labubus, WWN understands.

“We’d love to be fully focused on things like their education, starting a college fund or something like that but this deserves our attention, these little yokes can cost over €30 each but then kids won’t stop at one, there’s hundreds of these bastards, they can never know!” explained local parent Cormac Hurley.

The Hurleys have confirmed that preventing their darlings from learning about Pop Mart creation Labubus is such a big undertaking that they no longer take the kids to sports and other hobbies, and have no time to help shape their children’s moral compass or foster their imagination and interests.

“We’ve just said no to all birthday and play date invites this summer out of an abundance of caution. If they even so much as catch sight of those money draining plushie pricks we’ll be la b-b-broke,” warned parent Tara Hurley.

“And it’s not just the money, the emotional toll being constantly begged for one every time we pass or are in a shop, or a classmate brings one into school. I have a life to live, I will not have this shit invade and take over!”

The Hurleys have confirmed that they have a ‘worst case scenario’ plan in the event of Ciara (8), Rue (7) and Caoimhe (4) learning of the furry Norwegian folklore inspired range.

“Myself and Cormac have been lifting weights and bulking up for the last few months. We’d have no issue pushing kids out of the way when getting that one Labubu my daughter eventually says she needs or it’s the end of the world, but we’ll also be elbowing and shouldering those weirdo grown adults who ‘collect’ and make shit like this their whole personality,” concluded Tara.
