Man Vows To Stay Up Late To Watch Katie Taylor Fight In Hope He Can Pen ‘Overrated’ Social Media Post In Event Of Loss
LOCAL MAN Niall Cremmond has confirmed that his intention to stay up until the wee small hours to watch Katie Taylor’s trilogy fight with Amanda Serrano is not born out of patriotic pride and support but rather in the hope he can get a sarcastic and negative social media post out of it.
“Three thirty AM is late enough but it’ll be worth it if she loses and I can write at length about how people were wrong to support her ‘cus she’s overrated, that’s a natural high that’s worth the sacrifice of getting no sleep,” confirmed Cremmond of the five-time amateur boxing world champion, Olympic gold medalist and two-weight world champion, pound for pound best female boxer in the world.
Not one to feel the need to post about other combat sport fighters from Ireland, who have not had a fight in 4 years, Cremmond couldn’t quite put his finger on why he was so eager to dispel the praise Taylor receives for being an all-time great.
“Dunno, I guess I see all these people who have taken an interest in boxing since Taylor came to prominence and I guess I want to say you’re wrong to take pride in this and you’re not allowed like boxing because I’ve liked it longer than you, and I don’t like to see everyone come together in unison like that. What’s that? How did you know I’d be staying up by myself watching the fight?” confirmed Cremmond.
