Media Asked Not To Air Any Humanising Footage Of Iranian People

‘NOW IS NOT the time’ – that’s the edict issued by the Council For Responsible Reporting, the journalistic body that monitors the narratives of leading media outlets in the wake of some publications erroneously producing coverage which has humanised Iranian people.

“Have a bit of respect for the military industrial complex, it’s not easy trying to manufacture consent for military strikes. Your help is needed,” the CFRR told outlets, indicating that despite a flimsy ceasefire being negotiated that’s no excuse to show footage of everyday Iranians doing things like drinking coffee, laughing and socialising.

“Okay, fine, show mosque after mosque after mosque – that’s a ‘they’re asking for it’ message that can resonate and we desperately need now polling shows 85% of Americans don’t want a war with Iran and 59% have said Israel’s actions in Iran have made the world a more dangerous place,” offered the CFRR.

The CFRR admits that at times its messaging can be confusing but every context requires a unique set of instructions.

“Yes, a lot of humanising footage was aired around the time of protests when Iranians were pushing for greater freedoms for women and an end to the Morality Police but now is different, those women wearing head coverings are all bloodthirsty jihadists now for the purposes of getting people to stop thinking of them as fellow humans who also don’t agree with everything their government does, bombs away boys,” explained the CFRR.

“Certain outlets are showing Iranian people wearing western branded trainers, talking about love of sport, family, food, someone speaking in a perfect Youtuber American accent, laughing, you know who you are and this can’t go on,” concluded the CFRR, who longed for the days when people didn’t have access to the internet, only narratives of major news network’s choosing.
