Winning Cheltenham Horse Actually 8 Greyhounds Glued Together
A STEWARDS INQUIRY is underway after claims a horse trainer at Cheltenham has fraudulently won a race at the festival by running eight greyhounds glued together.
“I thought it was a little unconventional in its stride but didn’t think anything of it until the replays,” said one Cheltenham official of the winning horse Hocht Madraí.
Trainer Bill Creeland is believed to have run a series of experiments with multiple greyhounds running against horses before planning the daring escapade and winning £200,000 in today’s race.
Blitzing the rest of the field Hocht Madraí, believed to be Spanish ‘hocked up beer’, raced home in some discomfort uttering strange neighs which have now been confirmed as barking.
The dogs initially threw off suspicion as stable hands observed the glued together horse-dog eating hay, however, it later emerged the head of the horse-dog had an upset stomach was searching out grass in order to make itself sick.
“The ethics or logic of the scheme can be debated another day, I think we need to just praise the jockey in this instance, riding eight dogs over 3 miles is amazing,” said one punter.
However, footage obtained by WWN shows that instead of a whip jockey Neil Harvey dangled some treats ahead of the octo-dog on a stick.
“That’s pure torture doing that to a dog, ban them for life,” urged an angry Cheltenham ticket holder.
