Concern Growing In Donegal As It Hasn’t Heard From Other 25 Counties In Months
DONEGAL residents have expressed serious concern for the welfare of the rest of country after attempts to communicate with the 25 counties has returned nothing but radio silence.
“Sure, we don’t always keep in touch but even for them this is a long stretch of silence,” one Donegal resident said, shouting out the window in the direction of Sligo and receiving no response.
“Something terrible has happened, there’s just no other explanation for the silence that has greeted the news Donegal Council secretly changed the mica remediation applications made by 20 homeowners so it looked like the independent engineers hired by homeowners had recommended cheaper repair options, thus saving the Housing Agency money,” one dumbfounded Donegal local added.
Labeled a ‘technical glitch’ by the council and greeted by virtual silence by Irish media, residents in the forgotten county have concluded every Irish resident outside the county must have lost mobile signal while burying their head in the sand.
Further worry for the wellbeing of the rest of Ireland, specifically residents in the Dáil, was sparked by the fact they have yet to get back to the families of the tragic Creeslough explosion with a commitment to hold a public inquiry.
“If you’re out there, please make contact, if you need help just say the word. We’d hate to think something happened to you, and we know you’d do the same for us,” said a Donegal resident, somewhat sarcastically.
