Poll: What Should Be The New Name Of The Berkeley Library?
TRINITY COLLEGE announced its decision, after several months of research and consultation, to ‘dename’ the Berkeley library, removing the name of George Berkeley from the building citing the renowned 18th century philosopher’s ownership of slaves and his forwarding of theories supporting racial discrimination.
