Fianna Fáil Voters Wondering How Americans Voting For Trump Can Be So Stupid

THOUSANDS of Irish people who voted for Fianna Fáil in the recent general election have taken to social media to ridicule and criticise American people who are in favour of Donald Trump’s campaign to be the president of the United States.

Trump’s race to earn the Republican nomination for the presidency took a giant leap forward yesterday, with huge victories in the “Super Tuesday” series of primaries.

This led to people across the world voicing their disbelief at how someone like Trump can garner such support, including posts from Irish people who voted in their thousands for the same political party that brought about a generation of unemployment and austerity only a few short years ago.

“They’re some thicks, them Americans,” said one man we spoke to, who last Friday gave his number 1 voter to Micheál Martin.

“They don’t seem to see Trump for the sneaky bastard that he is, and are just getting swept up in his speeches and how he endlessly blames scapegoats for everything that’s wrong with the country, before promising to be the quick fix to sort everything out. I’ll tell, you, if there was any politician like that in Ireland, there’s no way I’d vote for him”.

Meanwhile, Trump’s rivals in the race for nomination are starting to wonder if they should start aligning themselves with the KKK to try and win some of that sweet Trump support.
