Jobs Boost For Dublin With The Announcement Of 5 New Machete Shops
THERE was good news on the jobs front in Dublin this morning, with the announcement of five new weaponry shops that will open in the capital throughout 2016, creating 100 jobs.
Machete Junction, the renowned chain of machete and samurai sword retailers, will open branches in Finglas, Coolock, Tallaght, Dorset Street, and Castleknock.
The new branches will join Machete Junction outlets already open across the city, and will strive to meet the criminal underground’s machete and blunt instrument needs.
Like other Irish cities such as Limerick and Waterford, Dublin has seen a rise in vicious machete assaults in recent years.
Gang members often complained about the lack of good quality machetes available on the market, giving Machete Junction owner Keith Lennon the idea to open a store specifically for the gang member with no regard for human life, who wants a reliable product at an affordable price.
“And down here we’ve got some lighter machetes, now these are popular with teenagers” said Lennon, walking us through the flagship Machete Junction store in the Blanchardstown shopping centre.
“And back here we’ve got machetes for weddings, and over there we’ve got the ones for communions. We cover all your machete needs, as well as cudgels, swords, baseball bats and just big sticks. Beatings and slashings are hugely popular among the criminal community, and it’s not like the cops are doing anything to stop them. So while the violence lasts, you’ll get the weapon you need right here at Machete Junction”.
Machete Junction are offering postions in customer services, management, HR and machete repair. Previous machete experience is not required, but it is beneficial.
