“Do you ever get when you just have a tune in your head and you can’t stop from humming it?” Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams reportedly said to party colleagues earlier today.

WWN has learned that Gerry Adams, avid fan of non-violence, has got iconic Star Wars song ‘Imperial March’ stuck in his head.

“I tried singing something else for a while, Val Doonican actually, but just as I thought I’d shaken it the bloody tune came right back,” Adams told a confused and bewildered Sinn Féin intern.

The song, composed by John Williams is one of the most recognisable pieces of music in film.

“I’m on my 3rd day of this but I thought, you what, take ownership of it Gerry. That’s probably why you may have noticed I’m a bit more ‘in the zone’ when I’m striding about the place,” he added to no one in particular.

Adams is believed to have spent the day looking up places selling black capes online. “You’ve always got to be careful typing in ‘black’ anything into Google,” Adams informed the still confused intern.

“Bum, bum-baddabump budda-bum-bum, bum, bum-baddabump budda-bum-bum, bum, bum-baddabump budda-bum-bum, bum, bum-baddabump budda-bum-bum, BAH-BAH-BAH BADDAH-DUM, BADDAH-DAH, BUH-BUH-BUH BWADDAH-DUM, BOODDUH-BWAH, BAH-BUDOOH-BAH, BADDAH-BUDDUH-BUH, BUM-BAH, BADDAH-BUDDUH-BUM, BUM-BAH, BADDAH-DUM, BADDAH-DAH,” Adams is believed to have hummed as he left the room striding purposefully.
