“SEE STRICT gun control laws never work, if you discount a near 30-year stretch where they largely worked very effectively,” confirmed local American man and gun advocate Terry Smith, who has spent much of the last 48 years on social media pointing out the foolishness and naivety of the gun control laws implemented in Australia.

Despite being reminded of the fact there is an average of over 45,000 gun deaths a year in his native land, Smith remained undeterred and admitted he didn’t take any satisfaction from pointing out Australia should have followed America’s lead, insisting the southern hemisphere country could learn a thing or two from a nation which lists ‘guns’ as its number one cause of child deaths.

“Take it from me, a man living in a country where when someone says ‘isn’t it awful about that mass shooting?’ we respond ‘which one?’, what you need is more guns, and much easier ways of obtaining them,” offered Smith, immediately glossing over the fact one of the shooters at Bondi Beach in Sydney was tackled by the heroic Ahmed al Ahmed, a man who was unarmed.

Smith, again citing, America’s own superior experience cautioned against any rash use of logic in the aftermath of the devastating tragedy.

“I note with some regret that the majority of Australia’s political leaders immediately came together and vowed to work on tightening gun control laws, when what they should have done is taken a leaf out of America’s book and used it as a way to further drive a wedge between people. Your display of unity is frankly disappointing and confusing,” continued Smith.

“Now, if you don’t mind me I’m going to jump on the world’s biggest platform for disinformation and discord, X, and start retweeting made up stories about the hero who intervened being a white man called Edward Crabtree,” concluded Smith, content in the knowledge he has shown another nation the error of its ways.
