WILSON’S Hospital School was the scene of a standoff this morning after Gardaí attempted to serve an arrest warrant on a now-levitating Enoch Burke, WWN has learned.

Gardaí called to the Co. Mayo home of the teacher twice yesterday to return him to prison for contempt of court but could not locate him. They were alerted this morning to reports of a man matching Burke’s description levitating above the school grounds and pestering students.

“We knew it was him by his little man-bag,” one eyewitness recalled. “He was reciting what sounded like bits of the Bible, you know, the parts calling for people to be stoned if they lay down with members of the same sex. He’s just floating up there now, evading Gardaí.”

Yesterday, the High Court ruled that Burke be placed in prison for a fourth time after repeatedly breaching a contempt of court order by returning to the school he was sacked from and attempting to trespass despite numerous barring orders.

“He’s a good 50 feet up, so it’s impossible to get near him. A helicopter would be too dangerous and he keeps moving every time we put up a fire engine ladder,” a Garda source explained. “Technically he’s not on school grounds either, but we are looking into doing him for endangering airspace.”

Shouting down at Gardaí, Burke insisted he was being denied his constitutional rights and warned he would unleash “all of his powers” if his demands to be reinstated at the school were not met.

More on this as it breaks.
