Another Irish Tradition Gone: 9 In 10 Criminals Lack Proper Pipe Bomb Making Skills

PEOPLE with traditional pipe bomb making skills are being asked to come forward after a man was injured in a Dublin house while attempting to construct one.

The appeal comes after a survey reveal 9 in 10 criminals now lack the basic skills to make what was once a synonymous part of traditional Irish crime.

“Surely there’s a FAS course or something the government can set up, we can’t let these traditional skills die out,” shared one concerned member of the public.

“In my day you’d throw a stone and hit three or four bomb makers, but it’s all gone to the dogs and you don’t need me to tell why that’s happened,” added another Irish person.

Folklorists have championing a resurgence in many traditional aspects of Irish culture such as our native language, music, handloom weaving and many pre-Christian pagan customs.

“Sure, there will be a few YouTube tutorials on how to make a pipe bomb but as evidenced by recent news, nothing beats a community coming together sharing and learning these traditions, saving Irish culture in the process,” explained historian Noel Jennings.

“What they’re calling pipe bombs these days? Give over. It’s not this generation’s fault though, it’s up to older generations to pass on these traditions before they die out altogether,” added a member of the Army Bomb Disposal Unit.
