Onana Unable To Leave Turkey After Dropping Passport
THERE HAS been further embarrassment for Manchester United in the wake of their 3-3 draw with Galatasaray as keeper Andre Onana has not been permitted to leave the country.
“Everyone at the departure gate was waved through except Andre who let his passport slip through his hands, he was THIS close to boarding,” said one United official of the Cameroon international’s careless handling.
Displaying the sort of goalkeeping prowess in the Champion’s League group stage which has led United fans to say ‘wait, De Gea wasn’t that bad’, Onana dropped his passport through a gap in a small grate which dropped into onto a baggage carousel.
“Spilling two tame shots is one thing, but to drop your passport like it’s been covered in grease that took a bath in baby oil, c’mon! I’ve seen toddlers juggling hand grenades in more control” confirmed one fan, who had foolishly asked Onana to hold his passport while he went to the toilet.
Despite flying via private jet and leaving shortly after the full time whistle the Man United team gave up an 18 hour lead on their supporters who traveled to Manchester via bus, with both parties arriving back to Old Trafford at the same time.
