When This Man With No Known Relatives Died, 459 Tiktok Influencers Turned Up To Film The Empty Church For Clout
A SAD occasion turned into a heartwarming display of togetherness after a local priest in Ireland sought funeral mourners for a deceased man with no living relatives and no social circle.
“He was a child of God like anyone else, and I’m asking if people could see fit to commend him into the arms of our lord this Tuesday in St Michael’s church at 11am,” communicated Fr Michael Maloney on St Michael’s parish Facebook account, which subsequently went viral online.
However, it did not go viral with people living in the area, with the algorithm by-passing those individuals on its way to a number of desperate TikTok live-streaming mavens who approach life as a series of content and clout opportunities.
“Bruh, check it out, dude croaked it and had zero aura so no one turned up,” shared one Tiktok user, his voice echoing in the empty church as he filmed from the entrance way, capturing the ‘pathetic loser’ who couldn’t even get anyone to turn up to his funeral.
The user was slightly drowned out by other TikTok and Twitch specialists who were also present recording similar videos hoping to capture this uniquely somber and sparse occasion.
“I was kind of hoping for a packed church for an emotionally uplifting yet devastating ‘GRWM To Go To A Guy’s Funeral Who Has No Friends But Then Something Amazing Happened’, kind of sucks people were so self-centred they didn’t show up and partake in the mass,” added a regionally famous social media user as they filmed the empty pews some of the 459 clout chasers present could have just filled.
