IRELAND’S very own Maura Higgins sits atop of the Dancing with The Stars US women’s leaderboard after a show-stopping performance of the Hucklebuck, WWN Entertainment can report.

“It’s great to be able to dance the spiritual dance of the ancient heartlands of my dear home of Ireland, and show it to American audiences,” an exhilarated Higgins said in the immediate aftermath of her debut dance, as she struggled to catch her breath.

“I’d never danced it before so it was unusual in that it was Maura, as the contestant, who taught it to me, the professional – it’s like her legs were subjected to some witchcraft, I’ve never seen knee knobbling at that speed,” shared Higgins’ partner for the duration of the show, Mark Ballas.

Tearing up the dance floor and receiving a rapturous reception, Higgins’ dance was praised by judges as ‘mad stuff altogether’ and ‘culchiemaxxing brilliance’.

Receiving a score of 21 out of 30 which put Higgins in top place and the Longford native was visibly overjoyed.

“That was worth 30 yiz miserable pricks, top marks! Typical treasonous thicks, gimme 30 out of 30,” Higgins said in a dazzling display of Ts as she ran at the judges and jumped on their table.

Higgins’ next dance is rumoured to be the macarena set to B*Witched’s ‘C’est la vie’.
