Appeals For Calm Met With Deranged Wailing

GENERAL appeals for calm and rational behaviour has been met with deranged wailing, WWN can report.

“It’s unclear of the original source of the appeal but it is believed to be a ‘generalised call for calm which knows no borders’. However, judging by the deranged wailing drowning out every other noise, it didn’t work,” confirmed one eye witness to the calls for calms and the subsequent wailing.

The initial entreaty to people to comport themselves in a fashion beneficial to cohesive and coherent dialogue befitting of a modern, functioning society and peaceable world had in fact the opposite impact as was intended.

“I believe it was a man screaming at the top of his lungs about how idiots should be calm led to other people screaming at that idiot for screaming, while the wailers shouted about how calm they have always been and that it was the so-called ‘calmers’ that need to calm themselves. I think it was at this point someone threw a bottle at my head,” another witness recalled.

Additional appeals for calm led to more shouting, this time through megaphones which were countered by a sound bath being conducted via another megaphone.

“If people cannot calm themselves, we’ll be left with no other choice but to tell them to be calm,” confirmed local calming professionals.

“There are others options worth exploring, some experts suggest that if someone won’t see reason, you simply become infinitely more unreasonable than them until everyone exhausts themselves from their irrationality and/or cancels each other out,” shared one solution seeker.

Meanwhile, many other people have subsequently joined the deranged wailing by criticising the wailing of the deranged.
