Internet Divided On Video Of Sad Confused Mentally Ill Man Forced To Give Speech By Handlers

A VIDEO that went viral yesterday, featuring an elderly man on stage clearly in a state of confusion and distress, struggling to make sense, has become a hot topic of conversation across the internet prompting a wider debate on how elderly people are often at risk of being exploited by other people.

“I don’t see the harm, if he wants to get up there and say he wants to own Iceland, let him live in that truly idiotic fantasy land. Leave him at it, he’s not harming anyone” said one comment underneath the video entitled ‘Donald Trump Speaking at Davos 2026’.

Details have since emerged that the man in question is from America and was placed on a flight (which was initially forced to return to the airport due to an electrical fault – allegedly in the plane, not the man’s mind) specifically to be recorded in front of a crowd at a conference.

“My heart goes out to him he looks so confused up there. And bless him, did you hear this Board of Peace stuff? Poor lamb, the dementia must have him forgetting the UN exists, he thinks he’s invented it now,” shared a comment beneath one of many TikTok versions of the 79-year-old man going viral.

“Elder abuse is hard to watch, it’s clear those closest to him are just using him to establish a white supremacist state and line their pockets. A horrifically uncomfortable watch, the video went on for over an hour, and many have said it is unconscionable that no one intervened given how clearly incomprehensible the man’s speech had become.
