Local Woman Can’t Help But Feel Like She Also Won Golden Globe Last Night

A LOCAL Irish woman is delighting in the news Jessie Buckley won a Golden Globe, an award she can’t help feel like she actually won when you think about it, WWN can confirm.

“Well, it just feels like awesome Irish woman are doing it on the international stage in a big way everywhere you look, me and Jessie,” confirmed teary-eyed junior HR manager Zoe McKenna, “I can’t help but feel like it’s an award I can claim too”.

Before being able to ask a follow up question inquiring as to how she could have possibly reached this conclusion, McKenna continued to speak with the sort of authority Irish soccer fans do when delcaring ‘we’ as they talk about an English football team.

“We’re one in the same, Jessie is like a shining beacon to a generation of Irish women who can do it all and won’t apologise for it, she thanked the extras in her speech, aren’t we all extras? I wonder would it cost much to melt down an award like that and place bits of into a necklace or something for us all to wear,” added McKenna, whose day will mainly involve creating a hostile work environment for any employees resisting the push to get everyone back into head office five days a week.

“We did it, I can’t believe we did it!” concluded McKenna, claiming the victory with such breezy and detached arrogance it would make a British tabloid claiming an Irish actor as British blush.

Elsewhere, film enthusiasts have already turned their attention to the upcoming Oscar nominations.

“I haven’t seen the movie or any of its competitors because they’re not on the dodgy box yet but if Jessie Buckley doesn’t win the Oscar it’s a fucking disgrace, a joke, an auld self-satisfied Hollywood con job devoid of merit, all about who you know and not about the talent and who is most deserving,” confirmed the rest of the nation.
