A LEAFLET drop has commenced in the town of Cormaulin inviting submissions from locals on the proposed changes to the main street which could see it pedestrianised under new proposals.

The efforts by authorities to let locals know that a consultation process has begun will prove all the more frustrating in 9 months time when a group of residents, frothing at the mouth, gather in protest of the changes they claim they weren’t consulted on.

“There are undiscovered fish on the bottom of the Atlantic ocean who know that the consultation process is open,” confirmed one local council worker who will later be accused of trying to pull a fast one on the local community.

Information evenings, full page ads in the local newspaper, fly by planes and ads directly uploaded into residents brains will not be enough to convince locals they were asked to contribute to the process in a bid to find a way forward for the traffic management of the town.

“Ah that sounds like a lot of effort when we can just get any change we don’t like stopped altogether by standing on the street in a few months shouting ‘no pedestrianisation without consultation’ from a megaphone” confirmed one resident who will swear blind he was never consulted.

It is not yet known which local resident will spearhead the opposition to the proposals but they will wear a hi-vis jacket and carry a clipboard with them at all times.
