Hollywood Studio To Save Millions By Filming Nuclear Fallout Movie In Leitrim

A HOLLYWOOD studio specialising in the creation of post-apocalyptic vistas is do shutdown its expensive and talented computer generated imagery department and rely on the natural landscape of Leitrim, WWN understands.

“Even factoring in moving over the entire team, it’ll work out cheaper,” CEO of production company End Times, Stephen Lopez told WWN.

End Times, sought after any time TV channels and movie streamers are in need of generating a Godforsaken hollowed out of horror of a land ravaged by nuclear fallout, will now fulfil requests by pointing a camera at Kinlough, Dromod, Mohill and beyond.

“We hope Leitrim locals take it as the compliment it is intended to be, we once spend $1.5mn blowing up a canyon in California to create a war ravaged Mars, but you get all that here for free, desolation and carnage,” added Lopez.

Additionally casting agents have said the move makes filing out extras in big budget movies that bit easier.

“The make up artists aren’t happy, they’re losing out on work but there’s a Luc Besson space alien movie shooting here now about a planet of deformed big-headed monsters and look around, not a lick of make up needed for that. The cost of producing these movies is plummeting,” explained casting agent Verona Lynam.
