Energia, Bord Gáis and SSE Airtricity Are ‘A Total Shower Of Fucking Gangsters’, Finds International Energy Agency
THE International Energy Agency (IEA) has found that Irish energy suppliers Energia, Bord Gáis and SSE Airtricity are a total shower of fucking gangsters, with the rest of the suppliers here not too far behind them.
Highlighting that retail prices in Ireland are three times higher than wholesale prices, one of the biggest gaps in the world, the agency asked the Irish nation: “why the hell is your government letting them get away with this crap?”
“Are you just going to let them keep hiking prices until you’re all frozen to death, or what? Or is your government just trying to make a quick buck from all those multinational data centres you’ve scattered across the island, in typical Irish GDP-loving style,” the brutally honest report read.
The IEA went on to note that Ireland has the largest gap between what it actually costs to produce energy and what consumers pay.
“You’re all being rode left, right and centre, and just continue to sit there and take it. We’re genuinely bemused by your stunning complacency,” the report concluded, adding that maybe, just maybe, Ireland should finally start calling out each and every one of these ‘energy company bastards’ and a seemingly unbothered government.
Asked about price gouging, the Electricity Association of Ireland referred to a recent finding by their buddies in the energy regulator that it has not seen evidence of windfall profits in the retail market.
“When we were all out for drinks the other night they said the prices were fine,” a source in Electricity Association of Ireland explained.
