A FEUD long thought to be left in the 90s along with the Rachel haircut, The Troubles and decent pensions, police in Dublin have today arrested 46 Blur fanatics who gathered to target rival fans of Britpop group Oasis.

“They were highly organised, highly violent and high on the smug opinion that Blur were the band preferred by intellectual types,” confirmed Garda Felim Hughes, who was on the scene to provide aid to some Oasis taken by surprise by the Blur mad fan ambush.

There are said to be several ongoing flashpoints, with many Blur fans armed with harmful opinions such as ‘Albarn and the boys’ discography is far more varied and crosses multiple genres, they are the superior band’. In one troubling incident one conflicted man fought himself after remembering he was a fan of both bands.

“I just heard someone shout ‘Parklife!’ and turned round to find a fist in my face,” said one Oasis fan Sean Riley, who had ventured into Dublin City to attend the Oasis concert scheduled for this evening.

“Another prick gave me a dig while I was on the ground and said ‘that’s for Noel saying he hoped Damon and Alex caught AIDS and die'” added a distraught Riley.

Gardaí have asked Oasis fans to exercise caution, and that Blur fans have clearly been planning this for 16 years.
