Harry Redknapp Claims It Was His Dog That Did Apparent Nazi Salute
THERE HAS been considerable relief among football fans after the tabloid bottom feeders, who accused Harry Redknapp of making an unseemly Nazi salute while joking about England manager Thomas Tuchel being a ‘German spy’, have had to eat their words.
“It was my dog what done it, not me,” confirmed Redknapp from his sitting in an exclusive interview with WWN Sport.
In the wake of criticism for his remarks at a Q&A, Redknapp has seemingly fallen back on the stock excuse which served him so well during a tax evasion trial in which it was discovered he had a secret offshore Monaco bank account in the name of his dog, Rosie.
“She’s a bloody liability! Always embarrassing me,” Redknapp defended, getting himself off the hook for a video in which he seemed to deliver a Nazi salute while implying Thomas Tuchel would intentionally set up England to lose at the World Cup.
A visibly frustrated Redknapp said that while he has tried to warn his bulldog about her behaviour during England’s two recent World Cup qualifiers Rosie unleashed 180 minutes of xenophobically charged invective.
“I don’t want to repeat where she said Tuchel could shove his bratwurst, but that wasn’t a salute what she gave, she was just giving the paw. It’s character assassination on my Rosie,” a crestfallen Redknapp shared.
“What the fuck am I being blamed for now?” barked Rosie from the nearby conservatory.
