That Can’t Be Right? Business Clearly Lists Phone Number On Website

THERE IS widespread suspicion among customers of energy provider Conneck NrG, with many suspecting a particularly obvious and brazen scam by criminals posing as the legitimate company after landing on the company’s homepage to find the customer care phone number in prominent position on the homepage.

“Haha, nice try, like a legit company wouldn’t do everything in its power to avoid direct, human-to-human contact with its customers,” said one Conneck customer, Sean Porter.

Porter was one of many customers whose eyes narrowed, as they inspected the phone number which was clearly a Dublin based number, making things more confusing.

“Ah I see, cheeky bastards, making up a fake Irish number, they knew I wouldn’t fall for an Indian or Nigerian number,” said Porter to himself, who against his better judgement rang the Dublin number and was shockingly put through to customer service after two briefs rings.

Throwing his phone out of his hands from the sheer fright of another human voice on the end of the line, Porter hung up and immediately checked his bank account to ensure all his money was still there.

“This just doesn’t feel right. It’s fishy as fuck,” said Porter, who decided to switch accounts to another major electricity provider who can be relied upon to drain the colour from the face of its customers by making them jump through all manner of hoops to get anything changed, clarified or cancelled.

UPDATE: A relieved Porter is currently screaming at an AI chatbot text screen of a rival energy supplier after asking it the same question and getting re-rooting to the start of the complaints process for the 17th time in a row.
