Touring Band Confirm Whatever City They’re In Now Has The Best Crowds
DISPENSING an unprecedented level of praise, a touring band playing a number of gigs in Ireland have confirmed that there’s no crowd like a Dublin crowd, leading to an excited roar from a shocked and humbled audience.
“You never expect to hear something like that, wow, I’m touched,” said one concert goer in the crowd for The Crowing Saints sold out gig in Vicar Street during which the band expressed the opinion that the city they are currently playing in has the best audiences.
“Nobody does it like an Irish crowd,” said lead singer Finn Stutsky, before raising a pint of Guinness up in the air and taking one long sip.
“Wow, what I love about these guys, is there’s no pandering and plamasing, that was just an organic, spontaneous exchange which really leaves us in no doubt that as a nation we are appreciated for our unique understanding of music,” said one concert goer.
Riding the crest of a wave of mutual adulation, the thoughts of some in attendance soon turned elsewhere, slightly souring the beautiful and heartfelt atmosphere.
“I suppose I just feel bad for Belfast, Edinburgh, Leeds and Brighton. Sure, it’ll be great for them to see The Crowing Saints over the next week but this is the peak for The CSs, they said it themselves, that’s gut punch for any future crowds,” added another humbled gig attender.
It is believed The Crowing Saints are just the 4,459th consecutive musical act to pay this exact compliment to the audience they are playing in front of.
