“Now Is Not Time For Self-Reflection, Now Is The Time To Blame Others” Confirm US Democrats

REELING from what looks like a comprehensive loss in the US presidential election as well as both House races, senior members of the Democratic Party have insisted it is time for the party to come together and find a scapegoat.

“The only explanation for losing to a sex offender who tried to overthrow the last election results can’t be that our message and policies need rethinking and our leadership changed, rather we need to come together as Democrats and blame… Arab American voters, yeah that’ll work” shared one senior Democrat.

Party sources suggested that failing to win an election after raising $1bn in campaign funding in just three months shouldn’t be blamed when the poorly educated are sitting right there being idiots waiting to be berated.

“Some times you’ve just got to be humble and accept that people are too fucking stupid to see how great you all are,” explained another Democrat party organiser.

“Honestly, I’m shocked. I thought I’d be speaking to you today about how finally a woman had the job of supplying Israel with weapons to kill brown people en masse but sadly that’s not the case, but no, I don’t think we could have done anything differently,” they added soberly.

UPDATE: Democrats have confirmed that once they have recovered from the shocking election news they dust themselves down and come back with a renewed focus to move further to the right in a bid to lose what remains of progressive support.
