WITH THE first round of CAO course offers out, some key trends are emerging with noticeable trends including a serious surge in popularity for a degree in How To Dismantle Capitalism So I Can Afford Rent.

“I made it my first choice when I discovered it’s going to cost about €14,000 a year for me to exist as a student in Dublin, and my broke parents earn too much when it comes to means testing,” explained local student Orla Heaton, who will study HTDCSICAR along with 2,000 other students across a number of third level institutions.

The course, which gives a grounding in how to tear down an economic system which results in growing inequality, emigration and a housing market seemingly constructed with the sole intention of crushing the souls of middle-income earners, could help students chart the only possible path toward affordable rents for students.

“I think what this trend shows is some students think there might be a better way to do things other than seven years of study including a masters, all to work towards handing over €2000 a month in rent to an investment fund” offered CAO trend expert Brendan Quinn.

The other course stand out in terms of increased demand is Economics, with some students opting for the sort of professions which could lead them to explain how anyone criticising Ireland’s economy is just an infantile ignoramus who can’t see the bigger picture.

Elsewhere, the Minister for Education has appealed for an increase in funding after her department blew their helium budget on inflating Leaving Cert grades and CAO points.

We’ve been hacked by North Korea, made it into Trump’s campaign emails, threatened with legal action by Ireland’s richest man, angered Scientology and received 6,000 complaints from the God squad after a sketch of ours aired on RTÉ.
