“Thank You London” Homebound Local Man Posts To Social Media Like Some Kind Of Celebrity God

POSTING to his 257 followers on Instagram, local man Tommy Sheehan thanked the entire city of London yesterday evening after a weekend away with his wife Julie with all the air of an A-list celebrity but without the social media engagement.

The post, which was a nighttime scene of London’s Piccadilly Circus, went under the national and international media’s radar despite it addressing nearly 9 million London residents.

“Why? No, didn’t see that post at all. Fair play to him though!” responded one Londoner we spoke to this morning when we informed him of the post.

Sheehan, who returned to work as a traffic warden this morning, explained that he had published the post at 7pm last night just as he boarded his flight home from Luton, insisting it was not some kind of lame attempt to appear so important that he had to publicly thank the entire city.

“Yeah, I just wanted all my friends to know I was in London, so what?” admitted the 52-year-old, ironically not liking being treated like a celebrity by a local newspaper asking him about his trip while he was working, “I did nothing wrong here, stop following me please – just leave me alone – I’ve work to do”.

Refusing to be photographed, Sheehan later apologised for the post before deleting it under the condition that the press left him and his wife alone.
