WWN has learned that Sean Murphy, the youngest of the Murphy brood and Ailbhe and Dinny’s only son is home for the Christmas.

Sean was over in Melbourne for the last few years doing a spot of teaching, but the close knit Tramore community has learned, chiefly through Ailbhe Murphy, that her darling son will be home on Sunday for about 10 days.

“Yeah, I heard alright,” the Murphy’s neighbour Colleen Hughes told WWN, adding that the 40 foot neon sign erected outside the Murphy’s house with ‘Sean’s coming home for the Christmas’ emblazoned on it sort of gave it away.

In addition to the neon sign, the Murphy’s have taken out several full page ads in national newspapers, and have informed the Late Late Show that they’d be happy to come on the show and talk about it. Their application for an official homecoming parade in Wateford City has bizarrely been rejected by the council.

“I think they’re the only family with anyone living abroad, so yeah, it’s a great and unique experience for them alright,” Colleen added sarcastically.

For their part the Murphy’s have remained tight lipped on their youngest’s arrival home.

“Oh, have you got your Turkey yet? That reminds me, did you know our Sean is home for the Christmas,” Ailbhe said to a passerby outside her house, for the 457th such occasion so far this week.
