WWN Event Guide
DUBLIN
After several weeks off the social calendar Dublin’s ever popular Witch Burning takes place. Organisers are appealing to anyone with female relatives or friends to bring them along. If you want your loved one burned at the stake, then please bring your own stake, organisers claim there was a shortage last time. Free entry. Things kick off at 12pm on Saturday.
WATERFORD
It’s off to Paddy Browne’s Pub this weekend if you want the best in entertainment! €10 at the door on the night or €8 when you book online for what is an event that is surely not to be missed. The hit West End revival of beloved musical Jesus Christ Superstar brings its 60-strong cast to the modest stage of Paddy Browne’s Pub.
NATIONWIDE
This weekend the Nation is encouraged to get outdoors and watch hundreds of learner drivers hopelessly fail in their attempts to perfect their 3-point turns in quiet estates. Free entry for all.
MEATH
Back in Meath for the second time in its existence the Pig Olympics take place this weekend. It’s like the regular Olympics, but with pigs! Free in for children under 5 but for everyone else a weekend pass is €59 but well worth it. Have you ever seen a dig attempt the javelin?
DONEGAL
Auditions for regional Irish Water protesters takes place in Bundoran this Sunday. Must be able to get up and walk off a hit and run. Doesn’t pay, but you will be a hero to the people.
