CHILDREN’S entertainer and Teletubby, Tinky Winky, has today married long-time partner Martin Kent in a star-studded ceremony in London.

The wedding took place just three months after the couple entered into a civil partnership agreement last year.

Celebrity guests, including Mick Jagger, Madonna, Jeremy Clarkson and many more, attended the event in a posh city centre hotel earlier this morning.

“Tinky looked fab-u-lous,” said Irish comedian and talk show host Graham Norton. “I hope the new couple have many happy years together.”

Fellow Teletubbies Dipsy, Lala and Po were said to be very emotional during the event.

“Eh-Oh! Tinky Winky gone!” exclaimed Po. “Bye bye Tinky Winky. Time for Tubby Bye-Bye!”

In sticking with age old tradition, Teletubbies narrator Tim Whitnall joined the pair in the sacrament of marriage, as requested by Tinky Winky himself.

Opening with the line ‘Over the hills and far away, Teletubbies come to play’, Mr. Whitehall then thanked guests and family for coming to the ceremony before proceeding with the marriage vows.

“I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room when Noo-Noo arrived up with the wedding rings,” said singer Ed Sheeran.

Tinky Winky, who became an advocate for gay rights in the late 90’s, is the first Teletubby in the UK’s history to marry a same-sex human being.

“Yeah, I’m well fucking chuffed to be honest,” said Tinky. “It’s about time other countries followed England’s lead in changing their laws on same-sex marriage.

“Now, time for a few frosty cold ones and get this fucking party going! Yee Haaaaw!”

Meanwhile, in Ireland, beloved children’s show favourite, Bosco, has reiterated his desire to be married, but will have to wait until after the 2015 Marriage Referendum.
