HERE’S what’s happening around the country in the coming days:

DUBLIN

Ireland’s 5th annual Marriage Games takes place in the RDS this weekend. Don’t miss out on event highlights such as ‘Wife-throwing’ and the ‘Quickest to leave their husband’ event which sees the wife who can write an angry letter, pack up a suitcase, and scream expletives from the street in the quickest time crowned the champion.

CAVAN

The Jeremy Kyle live show touches down in Cavan this week. Jeremy will dedicate his entire 3 hour show to DNA results which reveal whether or not husbands and wives are also cousins. Tickets still available at €40 each.

WEXFORD

Head on down to the Arts Centre to catch Twink’s one woman play ‘We Need To Talk About Twink’. Ticket holders are reminded the show lasts 8 hours and there will be no interval.

WATERFORD

The third annual Irish Joy Riding Championships takes place in Ballybeg. An event for all the family, be sure to check it out. Organisers of the event have stated it is preferred that cars with immobilisers not attend. Admission is €5.

WICKLOW

Arklow plays host to this year’s ‘Ireland’s Not-So-Strong-Man’. This event celebrates the many Irish men out there who have not become addicted to pectoral perfection. The winner will be chosen after a strict judging criteria involving beer belly girth, inability to carry heavy boxes, general laziness and of course the 10kg dead lift.

WATERFORD

There are still a few tickets left for tonight’s gig in Paddy Browne’s pub. €10 at the door and €8 online, be warned Coldplay get on stage at 8pm sharp.
