WATERFORD

Saturday morning sees Waterford City turn into the international focal point for all things spoons. The 3rd annual World Spoon Festival takes place across the city, seeing the local economy benefit greatly from the influx of spoon enthusiasts. As much as €40 million will be spent by tourists over the weekend. It must be pointed out that ladle enthusiasts are not welcome.

DONEGAL

If you’re in the Donegal area tonight, why not pop into a Bundoran’s new themed pub Latina Turner. A mix of Spanish cuisine with music made up entirely of Tina Turner’s back catalogue. Not to be missed.

DUBLIN

CORK

The first meeting of the new religious cult that worships Roy Keane is set to take place off Patrick’s St on Saturday morning. Those interested in joining The World According To Roy cult should turn up in Manchester United, Ireland, Celtic or Nottingham Forest kits. Anyone wearing shin pads will not be allowed in.

WATERFORD

There are still tickets available for Rihanna’s concert in Paddy Browne’s pub in Lismore on Sunday. €10 at the door or €8 if you book online.

WEXFORD

Fresh from the success of this year’s Wexford Opera Festival the most talked about show of 2014 returns. Copera, about a team of New York city cops who solve crimes through a combination of police work and singing opera, runs from Friday the 7th of November until the 14th. Tickets are €59.99 including booking fee.

DUBLIN

As part of their highly successful Culture Trail series, Dublin City Council are inviting the public to a free open air event outside the Central Bank on Dame St. ‘Having A Few Cheeky Cans’ allows people the opportunity to partake in a grand Dublin tradition of getting pissed outside the Central Bank after buying a 6 pack of Hackenburg in the offo.
